i use it in my basement where i had a water leak. after i took down the damaged paneling and insulation, i been running the unit full time for 3 weeks. it took the humidity down to 45 but it raised the temp to 85. i am now runing the unit about three hours a day because the humidity creaps up to 60. i figure it will take about another three weeks to dry out the floor. other things: noise is ok; i am using the hose drain to a sump drain so i havent checked out the float. for a little unit, it is doing the job!
