I have this machine and just love it!!! We purchased it just a few days ago and boy does it work! We have a real musty basement and we were using damp rid. However, we were changing the damprid weekly and that was an indicator that we need a dehumidifier. The first day we plugged it in, it didn't make it through the night because of the amount of moisture and the tank filled rather quickly. Day two, I changed it just to see how much and often we would have to dump it and it has collected so much moisture previously that it only needs to be dump twice daily if that. Please keep in mind that it is designed to REMOVE 65 PINTS OF WATER A DAY but the tank DOES NOT HOLD 8 GALLONS. In fact, I believe that the tank may only hold 22 pints.
